about

AIRS VS EVERYONE is a compilation of songs from the tail end of 2014 through 2015 kinda picking up where our 2014 tour tape left off. gonna break it down track by track for those who care to read.

first up is a live version of apart that we recorded in fontana at the first of our two record release shows. we played something like 3 songs because we kept blowing the power. banned for life in fontana. the instrumental demo of split was recorded live in our studio probably around the same time. this was supposed to be the final take but the recording was too lo-fi to get a decent mix out of so it was abandoned.

deliquescent was recorded live in fullerton on tour with where my bones rest easy. this set was recorded with the intention to be released but it didn't really meet our quality standards and got relegated to the archive. same goes for joyless a few tracks later. on that subject, joyless was something we brought back this year for a few shows after having not played it since our first shows ever. this version is kinda sloppy, but we'll probably never play it again anyway so this is as good as it gets. we'd always end it in this noise bit we'd list as "LA blues" on the setlist. you get it, i don't need to explain this to you.

the apart demo was recorded probably september 2014? kevin recorded the drums at the old crisis arm house but, again, the recording was too lo-fi to use for anything so it became a demo to reference later when doing "the real thing". the oasis covers are taken from our disastrous halloween show in fresno. the night ended in an onstage brawl and pretty much spelled the end for crisis arm. our oasis cover set went over a hair better. sloppy, but we never practiced any of it together sooo, you know. the last track on here is a live recording of bliss from the last real show we played with aaron. there was one more after this (which you can find right here on the FUN HOUSE) but this was really the last actual show we played together. this song hasn't been properly released yet, but it was a favorite to play on and off in 2k14. this show was really interesting. we were asked to open for ringo deathstarr so of course we said we were down, then we showed up and proceeded to get drunk and pick fights with everyone (including ringo deathstarr) and then play the sloppiest set ever in front of a packed venue. not our finest hour, but it's an interesting story and what you could call our "most replacements moment".

oh, and as for the title? either you get it or you don't. if you don't get it, you probably never have so keep on complaining about it. we're lovers, not haters. moby still sucks though. keep on rockin in the free world.
